STILL WINES

Combing globalization and enhanced quality

The world of still wine is a complex one. Globalization is a source of challenges and opportunities for wine engineering experts. The main challenge is to combine accelerated production rates with thoroughness and precision to preserve the spirit of this noble product called wine. Valentin Thièrion is raising to the occasion and invests massively in research to develop the new technologies required.

The importance of still wine for Valentin Thièrion

In 1850, Valentin Thièrion positioned itself on the market of effervescent beverages: Champagne, Beer and Cider.

Located at the heart of the Champagne Region, Valentin Thièrion has quickly established itself as the leading expert in wine engineering, in France and abroad. Currently 50% of the sales come from the export market.

Year after year, Valentin Thièrion extends its expertise to still wines: red, white and rosé. Even if that was not part of our original business activity, our sales in that market currently account for 20 % of our turnover.

Customized Solutions for the still wine market.

Valentin Thièrion has developed a specific bottling line – semi-automatic or automatic – for still wines. It is made of a washer and dryer, filling machine, gas injector, corker and capsuler.

Our corking wiring machines were awarded the “EP+” quality label , the result of a strategy to reduce dumping of consumables while maximizing productivity. An automatic labeler can also be added at the end of the line. All our machines are made of stainless steel. They last longer and maintenance is easier.

Our robotics Department just completed the installation of Valentin Thièrion production lines with emboxing, deboxing, palletizing robots and more.

Our customized technologies in that business sector

Our recent partnership with Thomas Watt, a company expert in customized lighting fixtures, was instrumental in the launch of the “Amber Storm” project. It is a technology / solution develop to solve a well known problem of Wine making: the “taste of light”. This light fixture with its amber lighting preserves the authentic flavor of your wines in the cellar.

We also developed projects for automatic loaders for grapes to be pressed. It is a perfectly autonomous and specific machine, that lets you load up to 12 000 kg of grapes/ hr. The perfect tool for the harvest period!
